If you were asked to make a list of the world’s greatest hard rock bands, Saxon will probably be somewhere near the top. Their second album ‘Wheels of Steel’ helped them rise to fame in the 80s and paved the way for other metal artists in that era. As well as wowing fans at festivals like Bloodstock, Download and Wacken Open Air, they appealed to mainstream audiences with appearances on the prestigious British music show ‘Top of the Pops’. In their lengthy career, they’ve toured with Judas Priest, Black Star Riders, and Motörhead, and have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
